If only looks could kill - DH Article



Cosmetic advertisements have been throwing around the myth that being 'fair' in complexion is a known benchmark for success in the society. This disturbing cliche of selling their products is true to this day in India. Featured here is an article I had written for DH on this issue. It was published in the June 20, 2006 issue on Page 11.

Yeah .. I agree .. It's a shame that the media is basically brainwashing us into what's 'right' and 'beautiful'. We should have our own views of these, no? P'raps, it is the actual surroundings in which a child has grown, how people around him have valued true beauty and stereotypical beauty...
It's nice to know others think this way too.
